  This Cape-style cottage has 2 bedrooms, living room, full kitchen, small dining room and a full tiled bathroom.
  One bedroom has a brand new queen-size bed and a ceiling fan, and the other bedroom has new bunk beds. 
  Each bedroom has an air conditioner unit.
  
  Also provided are a  60-channel cable 27" TV with DVD player, 2 fans, a private telephone for local and credit card calls,
  clock-radio, beach chairs and a beach blanket.   Heat is provided in the off-season.

  
  "Bessie's" is a bright, airy, recently-renovated, 5-room Cape with all new flooring,
  windows and vinyl siding. A sliding glass door leads from the dining room to a
  large deck, with a table and chairs, a charcoal barbeque and gardens.
  
  The cottage is named for Bessie Hardy, the original owner of the house, whose
  husband was a well-known builder and fisherman in Wellfleet.  This property has
  been in our family for almost 40 years.

  
   

   

  

  By special arrangement, cottage rental includes the use of the beautiful 60-foot, heated, indoor swimming pool
  at The Even'tide Resort Motel next door.  Permission to use the pool is only for our guests staying at Bessie's Cottage.

  The galley kitchen has a new full-size refrigerator, conventional electric stove and oven,
  a microwave oven and a portable dishwasher.  It is well-equipped for light housekeeping,
  including a 12-cup drip coffeemaker, toaster and electric can opener, pots and pans,
  dishes, flatware and cooking utensils.

  "Bessie's" is located off Richard's Way, a new road off Route 6 in South Wellfleet,
  in a small, new residential subdivision.
  Richard's Way is a private road, with direct access to the
  Cape Cod Rail Trail Bike Path, which runs from South Wellfleet to Dennis.

Wellfleet has 5 beaches on the ocean side, 5 beaches on Cape Cod Bay and Wellfleet Harbor, and 3 fresh water pond beaches. The closest beach to "Bessie's" is Marconi Beach, a 1-1/2 mile drive or bike ride, or a 1-mile walk on a trail through the woods. It's a 2- to 10-minute drive to any of Wellfleet's beaches, restaurants, town center or harbor. Several restaurants are located within walking distance. In the cottage you will find maps of the bike and hiking trails, as well as lists and locator maps for our favorite restaurants, local stores, beaches, churches and other essential information about our area of Cape Cod.
