This is a 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage that is perfect for a couple or a small family of 3 or 4, with pool priviledges at the motel next door, and direct access to the bicycle trail.

Located next door to The Even'tide Resort Motel on Rt. 6 in South Wellfleet, it is a 2-minute drive to Marconi Beach. There is also a one-mile hiking trail, through the woods, to that same beach.

One bedroom has a queen-size bed, TV and ceiling fan. The other bedroom has a set of twin bunkbeds. Please bring sheets and bath towels, or use the linens we provide, but the beds will not be made.

The cottage offers Wi-Fi Internet access, 2 TV's with Cable, DVD player, a land-line telephone with free nationwide long distance calling, window air-conditioners in both bedrooms, an outdoor fire pit, hammock, gas BBQ, and table and chairs on the deck outside of the dining room.

The well-equipped kitchen has a 4-burner electric stove with oven, full-size refrigerator/freezer, small dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster, a drip coffeemaker with filters, plenty of pots, pans and dishes, and some household paper products. We have a coin-op guest laundry in the building next door.

We provide pool towels, beach towels, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and sand toys. You'll also find a selection of books, puzzles, games and family-friendly DVD's

This cottage rents on a nightly basis, with a 4-night minimum, throughout the season.

• Policies

  Quiet Hours begin each night at 10:00.

  The cottage is rented with the understanding that it will be left damage-free and clean enough for the next family to move in. Your cleaning/security deposit will be refunded by mail, after check-out, provided that the cleaning guidelines, which you will find in the cottage, are followed. We will come in to disinfect and replenish supplies.

  This cottage is equipped and zoned for occupancy by a maximum of 4 people (strictly enforced). The bunk beds in the second bedroom are for children. We cannot have 4 adults staying in this cottage, sorry.

  Use of the indoor pool next door is for registered guests of Bessie's Cottage. No guests of guests are allowed in the pool area, even if they are not swimming.

  Reservations are considered as commitments for the full time period requested. Deposits are viewed by cottage owners as security against vacancies caused by cancellations or date changes.

  If you must cancel a reservation, your deposit will be refunded (minus a $100 cancellation fee) as soon as the cottage is re-rented for that reservation period and the next renter's deposit is received.

• Fees

  Besides the rent, there is a 14.45% state occupancy tax collected. There is also a refundable $200.00 cleaning/security deposit but aside from that, there are no other fees involved with staying at this cottage.
  In season, the town sells a beach parking permit only to Wellfleet renters. We offer a "Proof of Stay form" to our renters which will allow them to purchase the parking permit which is good at the town managed ocean beaches (4), fresh-water ponds(3) and bay beaches (5).
  Marconi beach (the closest to Bessie's Cottage) is managed by the Park Rangers of the National Seashore. They have their own fee system that is separate from the town managed beaches. More info at https://www.nps.gov/caco/planyourvisit/basicinfo.htm

There are more kitchen utensiles than in my own kitchen and it even has a dish washer, which helped us a lot.
